Patricia has been the Diabetes Education Program Coordinator for the Suffolk County Department of Health Services since 1997. Ms. Andronica has a Masters of Science Degree in Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing and is certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry by the NYS Department of Education.
Her professional activities include having served as a reviewer for the chapter on Monitoring in A Core Curriculum for Diabetes Educators, 5th Edition, Diabetes Management Therapies” and the March of Dimes Nursing Module, “Diabetes in Pregnancy, 3rd Edition.”
Pat presents the “Self Management Education” segment of the course. In her lecture she incorporates many of her practical experiences learned in developing diabetes programs. Pat also is an alternate presenter for the “Psychosocial Issues” segment of the course.
